     Jack East III received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1975.  He is licensed to practice in the State of Arkansas, before the U.S. District Court, before the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the U.S. Court of Appeals -8th Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Mr. East has extensive experience in the areas of mediation and arbitration of construction disputes, trials and appeals. He has represented owners, architects, contractors, sureties, subcontractors and material suppliers involving legal issues surrounding commercial, industrial, heavy, utility, institutional, and residential construction.  Mr. East has served as a sole and panel arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association for more than 15 cases ranging in value up to $15,000,000 and has served there as a Construction Law Arbitrator since 1995. He has also tried cases as an attorney in jury and bench trials and arbitration in the areas of utility, church, dam, hospital, and commercial construction projects. Mr. East has served as a contract administrative hearing officer for the Arkansas Department of Human Services for over 15 years, hearing all types of Medicaid provider cases.

     Mr. East is a member and past Director of the Arkansas County Bar Association. He was a Chair and founding member of the Arkansas Bar Association Construction Law Committee and has served as Chair of the Arkansas Bar Association Construction Law section. He is a member of the American Bar Association Forum Committee on the Construction Industry and a member of the Tort and Insurance Practice section, Fidelity and Surety Law Committee.  Mr. East is also an Associate member of Arkansas chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.
